A STRONG ANTARYAMIN

A STRONG ANTARYAMIN

"Love is to give, not to ask" -
Sri Amma Bhagavan

Bhagavan has said that one of the requisites to be in the Kalki Army is the necessity of a Strong Antaryamin. Among the oneness devotees, almost all of us have the Antaryamin of Sri Bhagavan and Amma. To some they are visible in some form of god or as Amma & Bhagavan; to some they walk and talk; to some they are alive in a formless state - in the form of peace, silence, joy, causeless love, etc. In most of us they are in the form of Divine Presence.

This Divine Presence may again be as joy, forgiving, love, peace, silence, gratitude, high intelligence. or as some extraordinary talent that was not there before the Presence came. This Divine Presence is nothing but the Antaryamin conveying a message to us and saying, 'I am there for you and only for you'. This Divine Presence has the quality of putting us in bliss. In a way, the bliss, the Divine Presence and the Antaryamin are all the same.

A few tips to develop a strong Antaryamin.

1. When Bhagavan first entered my heart in 1995, I felt and heard Him in the form of intuitions. But I was not satisfied with it. I wanted Bhagavan to answer all my questions. So one day, I asked Bhagavan what saree He wanted me to wear on that day. Since, i did not hear His voice then, I said, "ok, Bhagavan, I will ask you this question and the first thought of the saree that comes to my mind, i will assume it is your choice and wear it".

Like this in all my questions, I followed the first thought as Bhagavan's answer and did things accordingly. After a week or so, I started hearing lectures from the Antaryamin Bhagavan who actually taught me what I should speak in all the satsanghs. (At that time we did not have many Oneness Guides to teach us.) I suggested this to my brother and he too tried and soon Bhagavan started talking to him fluently.

Hence, anyone can start like this.

2. Gratitude is very very important for the Antaryamin Bhagavan to become very strong. Many devotees are angry or upset or disappointed that they are unable to hear or see Bhagavan in their hearts. I suggest that these people should not think much of what they do not have. If only they could only think of what Bhagavan has given them, their Antaryamin will develop very fast. For this, it is not enough if the Gratitude is in the form of telling thanks to Bhagavan. For many of us gratitude is only up to this level. Gratitude should be in the form of great EMOTION - FEELING. The more the feeling is, the more the gratitude will be! There is no limit to this emotion!

Such a strong emotion of gratitude and love for Bhagavan automatically invites Bhagavan to talk and walk with us.

"Gratitude is the hallmark of greatness" - Sri Amma Bhagavan

3. A third important factor is Seva. Many of us do seva for the following reasons:

a) to gain sat-karma,
b) to get benefits of a free darshan or process,
c) to join higher processes,
d) to join the Kalki Army,
e) to get enlightened, etc.

It is absolutely not wrong to do seva for the above reasons. In fact, Amma and Bhagavan welcome all types of seva, whatever be our inner intentions to do seva. They give all the above benefits to the sevaks for the seva done by them.

But if we want to get very close to Amma and Bhagavan and have a strong Antaryamin Bhagavan, we should do seva not just to achieve the above things, but with any or more or all the following intentions:

a) to help Bhagavan and Amma in fulfilling their sankalpa and bring in the Golden Age,
b) to truly help co-humans (with unconditional love) to come out of their sufferings,
c) to bring Man and God together,
d) to make this planet and mankind happy, etc.

Seva should be done with true emotion and sincere effort. Such seva 'bhaav' (emotion) makes the Antaryamin Bhagavan very very active that He simply walks and talks with us.

4. It is very important to be a child before Bhagavan. Before Bhagavan, we should forget we are elders; we should forget we are devotees; we should forget we are sevaks; we should forget ourselves and be just a child, however silly it may be. Again, this should come to us naturally; we should not act or pretend to be a child. We should actually be a child and relate to Bhagavan like how an one year old child will relate to his/her mother.

For this we should touch, hug, kiss and talk to our God/Bhagavan as we would do with our father and mother. Resistance to these things brings the distance between us and God.

5. It is very easy to get a strong Antaryamin if only you know that Bhagavan is God and realise with full emotion that you are sitting before and talking to and praying to and hugging and touching THE GOD AND GODDESS THEMSELVES. No God can keep quiet without talking to you if you have such an emotion/bhakti/love for God.

6. Surrender is an important factor to have a strong Antaryamin. Never compare your antaryamin with those of others. It does not matter if we are not experiencing what others are experiencing. FOR YOU, YOUR ANTARYAMIN GOD is very very precious. Love Him as He is, without complaining. The more we compare and complain, the weaker our antaryamin becomes. We should be aware of this. We should be more grateful to what we have. That is very important.

Here I wish to share an experience. It was the first Maha Deeksha class. I had had good experiences but unfortunately, i was not good in defining my experiences. I did not know the terms the other devotees were using to describe their states (like the no-body state). I thought I did not have those experiences and told my dasaji that. After the classes were over, we were all seated before Purushottam Bhagavan. Each of us got up before Bhagavan and Dasaji told to Bhagavan about our experiences in Maha Deeksha. When my turn came, Dasaji said that I had somehow missed the experiences. I appeared to be the only failure there.

I did feel very bad about it and the mind was eating me up. At the end of it, I just said to Bhagavan, "it does not matter if you have not given anything, Bhagavan. I still love you and will do seva for you because you are God". I said and meant it and continued seva. In a couple of weeks, I realised that I got more than I could think of. I went into 'no body state' for hours to everyone's amazement and to my own amazement.

Thus seva combined with surrender and gratitude and love, brings Amma and Bhagavan very close to us.

You have to earn for yourself a place in the hearts of Amma and Bhagavan - this is my discovery.

And above all, we should not forget this:

"Any teaching, including those given by us would remain a teaching unless you have a direct experience, which is possible only through divine intervention!" - SRI AMMA BHAGAVAN

"The Awakened One witnesses things happen. The unawakened one tries to make things happen" - Sri Bhagavan
